Looking for something better to do? This city is overrun by wine tastings, but rarely are they very good.

Even better, you can create your own wine tasting party complete with a sommelier/wine club rep for free-just throw in some cheese nibbles and let the good times roll.

Red and white varietals grown in small quantities that are all under $20.00. For all you oenophiles out there, don’t let the low price scare you. These wines are good, and I have tasted many myself.

At a wine tasting last night at the home of Jody Jackman, six different bottles were uncorked, and the fun began.

Everyone got a clipboard to write down their thoughts, and as the evening went on, our palletes definitely became enlightened. People really losened up as well. By the end of the night, a woman named Tiffany was recounting the most glorious tale about a chocolate chip cookie she had the day before.

So passionate in her description of the warm, gooey confection, I thought she was going to jump out of her skin. Now that’s my kind of enthusiasm. Definitely something try, and tremendous way to network and enjoy good comraderie as well.
