Remember the name of the street where you grew up? Learned to ride a bike? Roller-skate? That fond address of childhood adventure lingers in the mind for a lifetime. Our Broadmoore Estates is named for just such a street. John Lynch learned to ride his bike on Broadmoore Drive in San Ramon, California. Although he’s long ago given up training wheels, he dedicates this wine to all the streets in the world where new life-lessons are taught and to the spirit of adventure inherent in all of us. The playful label depicts a vintage bike “popping a wheelie” outside the boundary of the label. Note the tread marks around the botttom of the capsule. It reminds us to color outside the lines and pop a few wheelies of our own.

Our McKenna wines pay tribute to our founders’ Irish ancestors, the Clan McKenna, and to all the great Clans of Ireland – where a strong sense of family remains the cornerstone of modern society. Irish identity is inextricably linked to ancestry and heritage – the past always an undeniable part of the present. The Lynch family wears their Irish heritage as a badge of honor and loves to celebrate with toasts all around. The actual McKenna family cross, similar to the one on our label, dates back to the 12th century. It stands over seven feet tall and legend has it that the McKenna chieftains were inaugurated as leaders of their clan in the shadow of this cross.
