Holiday Shopping is a Bit Easier with a Little Sparkling Wine

When the stress of the upcoming holiday season becomes too much, a little sparkling wine can go a long way.  Stores as diverse as Neiman Marcus and Pottery Barn are offering today’s holiday shoppers with a bit of bubbly to take the edge off shopping for holiday gifts.  Wine direct sellers are also seeing an uptick of shopping for wine this holiday season — the bubbly along the the reds and the whites.  According to Alex Reble, winemaker at Napa-based WineShop At Home, the sale of the company’s wine is up almost 25 percent over last year’s sales.  “People just love their wines,” says Reble.  “Who can blame them,” he adds with a smile.  “Holiday shopping is one of the most stressful times of year.  Just ask me, I am a winemaker and haven’t even started my holiday shopping!”
