Our new Fleur Bleu Seven Petals is a blend 55% Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa, Lodi and Mendocino, 15% Syrah, 10% Tannat, 10% Petit Verdot and 10% Cabernet Franc – of some of our best 2016 wines. The nose is rich and deep with a combination of black cherry, black currant and blackberry. The second nose reveals some vanilla, toasted oak, tobacco and black pepper. A blend of American and French oak barrel ageing gives a boost to the mouth, providing an amplified attack. We have big chewy tannins in the attack followed by a long-lasting structure. There is a lot of length and strength provided by the tannins. A good amount of acidity will allow for an extended ageing potential.
This wine will pair beautifully with roast pork, prime rib, rack of lamb or game meat. Enjoy it with the featured recipe: Rack of Lamb with Rosemary.
