This young Mariana Vineyard 2016 Pinot Noir comes from the Minervois terroir of Pays D’Oc, France that is rich in limestone. It has a deep purple color and aromas of strawberry, raspberry and ripe gala apple. The finish is savory with some light toasted oak characters and vanilla flavors. The mouth is very rich and smooth with more red fruit notes. The tannins are polished and complement the body of the wine. These tannins slowly fade away to make room for a harmonious and pleasant finish.
This smooth wine is best enjoyed with roasted turkey, grilled chicken, pasta bolognese or roasted hens. Enjoy it with the featured recipe: Six-Spice Maple Cornish Hens.
