Our Cookie Cellars Biscotti red blend of 55% Ruby Cabernet, 16% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon and 13% Syrah presents dark red fruit characters in the nose, such as blackberry, blueberry, cherry and strawberry.
The nose also shows mature characters from the ageing process, like tobacco, cigar box, maple syrup and toasted oak. With a Cabernet base, tannins are dominant. The mouthfeel is a rollercoaster of sweet, fruity and tannic notes. The mid-palate is dry and the finish is on the sweet side. The Merlot and Syrah offer flavors of prune and cherry in the finish.
