Our Halcyon (pronounced hal-see-on) 2020 Chenin Blanc comes from the Swartland region of South Africa, a sustainable growing region that is referred to as the “Cape Floral Kingdom”.
This is an UNESCO biodiversity zone, the smallest and richest of the six Floral Kingdoms in the world, with a majority of its plants not found anywhere else. Chenin Blanc is one of the most popular white varietals in the region. It offers a combination of floral and fruity aromas, including pear, lime, lemon, apple, guava and grapefruit. This stainless-steel-fermented wine provides a smooth attack with citrus and acidity. This low-to-medium intensity Chenin Blanc is easy to enjoy.
