Our Fleur Bleu 2018 Pinot Grigio is finally ready after a few months of fermentation and ageing on its lees. This Southern California wine has a powerful nose offering citrus characters of lemon and grapefruit. The lees ageing or “Sur Lies method,” provides a lot of volume in the mouth and additional aromas of star anise, dried herbs and lavender. This wine starts with a crisp, clean and mineral mouthfeel. After a few seconds, orange zest, Mandarin orange and pineapple flavors lead to a clean and pleasant finish.
Enjoy this short to medium-bodied Pinot Grigio with grilled fish, scallops or a cheese platter. Pair it with the featured recipe: Grilled Curry-Lime Tuna with Toasted Coconut Sauce.
