Tatu Estates 2019 Lodi Petit Verdot
This Tatu Estates 2019 Petit Verdot was produced from fruit in the Lodi appellation.
We love this vineyard for its great quality and consistency year after year. Petit Verdot is known in Bordeaux as the “spice box” for winemakers. Behind its deep dark color, a lot of flavors are packed in those small berries like blackberry, plum and black currant. Some toasted oak, tobacco and black pepper notes develop in the glass when the wine is swirled to aerate. This young, dry 2019 is already complex and displays dark fruit, like blackberry and blueberry in the mouth. The tannins are intense in the mouthfeel all the way to the finish.
This bottle of wine has a jammy quality, which makes it a perfect candidate for pairing with grilled steak, roasted chicken or game meat. Enjoy it with the featured recipe: Chicken Satay.
