The Fog Vineyards Valley Mist Blend is a blend of 50% Zinfandel, 30% Syrah and 20% Cabernet Franc which all bring their own structure and complexity to the final blend. This 2017 wine is young and rich. We blended one of our best Zinfandels from the 2017 vintage with some Syrah for color and Cabernet Franc for additional structure in the mouthfeel. This wine displays aromas of dark fruit such as blackberry, cherry and black currant. Toasted oak notes develop in the glass after the first aeration, along with flavors of vanilla, tobacco and mocha. The mouth is dry and round. The tannins ramp up quickly and their intensity carries throughout the finish.
