Our inaugural Gram’s Blend is a bold blend of the mighty Merlot and Malbec. Both varietals are well known, especially in Bordeaux-style reds, but they are rarely by themselves. The small appellation of Pomerol produces this type of acclaimed blend with regularity.
The nose of Gram’s Blend has fruity aromas of fresh strawberry, blackberry and black currant. The Merlot is from 2023 and features mature components such as toasted oak and tobacco. The mouthfeel reveals a complex structure which will develop and enrich with aging. This wine’s young tannins will soften over time. There is a medium structure, a hint of cedar notes and a dry finish to this everyday sipper.
