Blackened Sausage Alfredo

Ingredients

  • 8 Ounces Penne pasta

  • 2 Tablespoons Butter

  • 1 Package (14 ounces) Zatarainโ€™sยฎ Blackened Seasoned Chicken Smoked Sausage, halved lengthwise and sliced

  • 1 1/2 Cup Heavy cream

  • 1 Teaspoon Zatarainโ€™sยฎ New Orleans Style Blackened Seasoning, divided

  • 1/2 Teaspoon McCormickยฎ Garlic Powder

  • 1 Cup Shredded Parmesan cheese

  • 1 Teaspoon McCormickยฎ Parsley Flakes

Directions

1.ย Cook pasta as directed on package. Drain well. Set aside.

2. Cook and stir sausage in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat until lightly browned, about 6 to 8 minutes. Remove from pan.

3. Melt butter in same skillet on medium heat. Whisk in cream, Blackened Seasoning and garlic powder. Bring to simmer. Stir in parmesan cheese; cook 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is melted, stirring occasionally. Return sausage to pan. Add pasta; toss to coat well.ย 

4. Sprinkle with parsley and additional shredded Parmesan, if desired, before serving.
