Alex has over 25 years of wine business experience in both France and the United States. Early on, he studied and focused on biodynamic research in viticulture working with vineyards from Saint Emilion and Medoc around his native Bordeaux region. After graduating with degrees in Winemaking, Viticulture, Geology, Wine Trade and Spirits, Alex’s career started at internationally acclaimed wineries like Chateaux Petrus, La Fleur Petrus and La Tour Carnet. He then worked in the Oregon wine country for a few months, falling in love with the American way of life. Alex has been working in both Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley since 1997 with equally well-known wineries like Newton Vineyards, Flora Springs, Silver Oak Cellars, Anakota, Cardinale Estate, Matanzas Creek Winery and finally Beringer Vineyards. He lives in Napa with his wife Catherine and his two daughters, Madeleine and Olivia.
